The Pennsylvania Superior Court ruled that expert testimony that a wrongly dispensed drug caused permanent visual and cognitive damage to a healthy man didn't satisfy the test under Frye v. U.S. . Although admissible to the extent it causally connected the overdose to the plaintiff's immediate symptoms, the testimony regarding long-term symptoms wasn't "demonstrated to be 'generally accepted' in the relevant scientific community."
