In real estate, it is often said that location is everything. The same observation might be made of the Washington, D.C., firm, Hogan & Hartson’s April 10 announcement that it has joined its practice with that of New York litigation boutique Davis Weber & Edwards.

While adding another 35 litigators seems like a mere drop in the bucket for a firm that has grown by more than 300 lawyers over the past five years, Hogan partners call the acquisition a pivotal move.
