Attorneys have filed what appears to be the first Pennsylvania class action against Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. and the Ford Motor Co. in Lennon v. Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. The plaintiffs have requested a jury trial.
“When the news [of problems with Firestone tires] first hit, people started calling,” said attorney Robert W. Sink of Fort Washington, Pa., lead counsel in the case. He filed the class action Aug. 10 in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court, just one day after Bridgestone/Firestone announced a recall of its ATX, ATXII and Wilderness AT tires.
