A New York appellate court ruled that creating a Web site disparaging a person, and including that individual's address and telephone number, can result in criminal culpability for aggravated harassment. Even if the defendant did not complete his communication to the victim, he can be liable for aggravated harassment for causing communications initiated through the Web site, the panel said.
