By mid-April, the Connecticut Department of Correction had repatriated about 20 state inmates to Connecticut from Wallens Ridge State Prison in Virginia because of pending court cases and other personal matters, according to DOC spokeswoman Christina M. Polce.
But don’t expect the DOC to bring back many more of the 484 inmates that were sent to the maximum security prison in Big Stone Gap, Va. to ease prison overcrowding — at least not any time soon.
