Philadelphia District Attorney Lynn Abraham took the epistolary skirmish between her office and Antioch College into the open yesterday at a press conference addressing the school’s announcement that convicted murderer Mumia Abu-Jamal will deliver the keynote address to the class of 2000.
In a strongly worded response, Abraham, who was joined by Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police president Richard Costello and Pennsylvania FOP president Michael Lutz, expressed “outrage and offense” at the Ohio school’s inclusion of Abu-Jamal in their graduation program.
