Abstract As evidenced by the number of people in front of the U.S. Supreme Court to hear oral arguments in the case, Doe v. Santa Fe Independent School District has attracted a good deal of attention. It marks the Court's first foray into the school prayer arena since 1992's Lee v. Weisman. And, after last week's arguments left justices skeptical, Santa Fe could meet the same fate as the clergy-led graduation prayer struck down eight years ago in Lee.

By about 5 a.m. on March 29, people had already lined up in front of the U.S. Supreme Court to hear the 10 a.m. oral arguments in Doe v. Santa Fe Independent School District.
