Seattle's Daniel C. Regis has the dubious distinction of being the first venture fund partner ever to be sued for trade-secret misappropriation. Regis, former managing partner of Seattle's Kirlan Venture Capital, was sued in King County Superior Court by his former employer, who charged him with breach of employment agreements, trade-secret misappropriation, and breach of fiduciary duties.
