Words like Families, Farmers, and Teachers dance across the screen. They quickly coalesce to form the equation “You + Legal Services Corporation = Equal Justice.” The tune “America the Beautiful” plays in the background. Then one sees the new home page of the Legal Services Corp., the federally funded corporation that provides civil legal aid to the indigent. The site at www.lsc.gov has the right amount of high-tech glitz, including a brief video of LSC President John McKay, coupled with convincing stories of how LSC lawyers have helped ordinary Americans. As a quick introduction to the work of the constantly embattled LSC and an argument for continued funding, the site is hard to beat.
