Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe is putting the finishing touches on plans for a new Silicon Valley campus — an office that can only be described as something between Utopia and a United Airlines terminal. The Menlo Park, Calif. office will include a tranquil fountain, grassy open space, a fleet of Heller bicycles and official Ed Begley Jr. electric car plug-in stations. Michael Charlson, the office’s managing partner, said the 100 lawyers and 120 staff members will be able to work out, drop off dry cleaning, chow down at the food court, nurse children in the private mother’s room, order groceries and possibly even bank. The building will also be wired for every technological device the Heller partners could think to include. “Everything is state of the art, as much as I understand the art,” Charlson said. He added that he expects the 80,000 square-foot office — along with its pizza oven and outdoor brick fireplace and grill — to be completed by Nov. 1. “Who’s designing this?” asked chairman Barry Levin. “Wolfgang Puck?”
