The Boeing Company on Friday announced that it has agreed to pay $15 million in a proposed settlement of two class-action race discrimination suits brought by black workers in the federal courts in Seattle and Philadelphia.
But lawyers here said the Philadelphia plaintiffs could make a move to block the settlement as unfair since the vast majority of the 20,000 class members could receive awards that average just $167, while the Seattle lawyers will take home $3.75 million.
