Fulton County, Ga.’s district attorney says he can find no record of a 1995 aggravated assault charge brought against a former Black Panther now charged with slaying a county deputy.

Files associated with a suspected shooting by Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin — once known as H. Rap Brown — were apparently delivered to the district attorney’s office in November 1995, says Fulton District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr.
