The Office of Kane County, Ill., State’s Attorney David R. Akemann is considering whether it will file criminal charges against a traveling circus for featuring a boxing kangaroo.

The Great Sarasota Circus featured the animal in two Monday night bouts at the Kane County Fairgrounds. The first show was videotaped by animal rights activist Donna Hertel, who claims that the exhibition violated state law, The Kane County Chronicle reports.
