A federal judge for the Northern District of New York has ordered two rural upstate counties to modify their polling places in accordance with New York Election Law and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Senior U.S. District Judge Howard G. Munson’s order requires Schoharie and Delaware counties to make the accommodations prior to the March 7 presidential primary. The judge said he would appoint an independent entity to monitor compliance.
