John Dwyer, a professor of environmental law, has been named to succeed Herma Hill Kay as dean of Boalt Hall School of Law at UC-Berkeley.
Chancellor Robert Berdahl made the formal announcement of Dwyer’s appointment Tuesday. Dwyer is expected to assume the deanship on July 1, 2000, when Kay — Boalt’s dean since 1992 — steps down to focus on teaching and writing.
