The second marriage of a large, full-service firm and a Center City intellectual property boutique in the past seven months has been proposed as Dechert Price & Rhoads is now discussing merger with Woodcock Washburn Kurtz Mackiewicz & Norris.

The union would pair Dechert, the firm with the biggest Center City law offices, with Philadelphia’s largest IP boutique. Dechert chairman Barton Winokur and Woodcock Washburn executive committee member Gary Levin confirmed that the two firms were holding discussions. They stressed, though, that no deal has been finalized.
