Only a year out of law school, and one young lawyer, Jennifer C. Friedman, has already begun to make a mark on the New York City legal system.
Eight law schools, six legal services agencies and 14 law firms have united to help victims of domestic violence under the direction of a nonprofit program run by Ms. Friedman, a 1998 graduate of Columbia University School of Law.
