A professional hockey player's injury while playing summer hockey to stay in shape does not fall within the scope of employment, a Pennsylvania appellate court has ruled in answer to a cross appeal. The decision in Dandenault v. WCAB vacates a lower ruling by the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board which sided with the workers' compensation judge in granting the Eric Dandenault's claim petition without awarding compensation for lost wages.
