It's hard being wedged between Boston and New York. But does geography explain why Connecticut's Day, Berry & Howard and Cummings & Lockwood scored low in an associate survey? William H. Narwold, Cummings' managing partner writes, "I do not think that the fact that both C&L and Day, Berry did not fare well in the survey is just a coincidence. ... A large indigenous Connecticut firm sitting between Boston and New York has extraordinary pressures that may not be replicated anywhere else ... in the country."
