By day, Jodi Sax specializes in copyright, new media and music law at the intellectual property boutique Small Larkin in Los Angeles. By night, she hunches over her Web site, Lawgirl.com, a labor of love she single-handedly designs, writes and codes.

Sax launched Lawgirl in July 1997 more as a means of flexing her atrophying creative muscle than adding to the pool of information on copyright and entertainment law.
