SACRAMENTO — Robert Vines is not a happy camper. The partner with Ontario-based Rose, Klein & Marias heads the California Applicants Attorneys Association, some 1,000 lawyers who specialize in representing injured workers.
The CAAA spent $650,000 helping Democrats get elected last year, then teamed up with labor this year to co-sponsor increased workers’ compensation benefits that even some of their opponents agree are overdue.
