ATLANTA– Fourteen DeKalb County Jail inmates are uniting theirallegations of medical mistreatment and abuse into a potentialfirst-ever class-action claim to be heard in a superior rather thanfederal courtroom.

A77-page amendment by 13 inmates has been joined with that of aconvicted child molester’s complaint that guards at the county jail havebeen mistreating and abusing prisoners, says their lawyer, Robert L.McGlasson of Decatur.
