Ed Moss, who took the most active role among local lawyers in defending the tobacco industry in the largest tobacco class action in history, has been replaced. The move is one of several expected changes on the defense team before the second phase begins. After a two-month layoff, jurors are scheduled to return to decide damages for two plaintiffs selected as representatives of as many as 500,000 smokers in Florida who comprise the class suing the industry.
