Palm Computing Inc. (PCI) has won an early court order that could hamper rival Olivetti Office USA Inc.'s plans to compete in the hand-held organizer market. On Tuesday U.S. District Judge James Ware issued a preliminary injunction against Olivetti, distributor of daVinci hand-held organizers, and CompanionLink Software, which distributes a software development kit, prohibiting them from selling certain operating source code used in hand-held organizer systems.
