New regulations the U.S. Postal Service is threatening to deliver next spring would require attorneys doing business through a private mailbox to put their true address on file. In turn, the post office could be required to give out the address to anyone who requests it. Also, after April 26, 2000, mail delivered to a private mailbox must contain the designation PMB (Private Mail Box). Attorney Richard Clements says the rule is "onerous" and a threat to small business.
