Hunton & Williams has settled a claim brought by a former associate that he was fired for pressing an inquiry into fraudulent billing practices by former firm partner, fugitive Scott Wolas.
With jury selection set to begin today before Eastern District Judge John Gleeson, lawyers for the firm and plaintiff Peter Kelly came to terms early Friday afternoon. The amount of the settlement was not disclosed, but Mr. Kelly, 36, had sought $900,000 plus punitive damages on his breach of contract claim.
