Judge E. Stevenson Fluharty, known for his off-the-cuff comments from the bench, was soabrasive and dismissive towards a defense lawyer that an Appellate Division has reversed a $1.17million jury verdict for the plaintiffs.

Leading the panel was one of the next state Supreme Court justices, Virginia Long, whopeppered her 37-page roasting of Fluharty with vivid examples of the trial judge’s patronizing and attimes belittling tone.
