Pillsbury Sutro & Madison will be celebrating its 125th birthday all year long. Recently, the San Francisco-based firm kicked off with a party of 700 guests at the Westin, complete with a 60′s cover band and Willie Brown. Pillsbury attorneys from all over the globe watched a live Web simulcast of the event and were greeted by chairwoman Mary Cranston. San Francisco’s mayor proclaimed it “Pillsbury Madison & Sutro” day in the city. On a sober note, Superior Court Judge James Warren, a former partner, spoke of Pillsbury’s recovery from its recent lackluster performance, and remarked that the firm was back on its course with a “vitality and energy I haven’t seen in years.” Pillsbury’s long time clients in San Francisco include Chevron and BART.
