A Polk County jury has acquitted Larry Harold Johnson in the 25-year-oldkilling of Sheriff Frank “Red” Lott.

Johnson, 52, spent 18 months in jail before his exoneration late Friday.He bears no ill-will toward prosecutors, says his attorney, Jimmy Berryof Marietta. Instead, Johnson is looking forward to a big Sunday dinnerwith his mother and getting a job, Berry says.
