CEDARTOWN-In the 25 years since Polk County Sheriff Frank Lott’s slaying,a case file on the unsolved 1974 crime lay in a storage vault at the sheriff’sdepartment here.

Among its contents: a photograph of a man with long, blond hair as wellas reports indicating the man had been interviewed and subjected to apolygraph test two years after Lott’s death.
