WASHINGTON — Is it Monica or is it Memorex?

That was the critical issue before the U.S. Senate today as the managers unsuccessfully pressed the weary body to call Monica Lewinsky to testify live, rather than simply relying on her videotaped deposition, taken Monday, together with the records or transcripts of her 22 earlier interviews and grand jury appearances.
