Rogers & Wells and Clifford Chance made their first public comment on the firms’ proposed merger last Friday, stating that each firm’s executive committee has submitted the plan to its partners, who are expected to vote at meetings scheduled for July 9 and 10. The combined firm would have 2,475 lawyers in 26 markets worldwide.
