“I hate the Beatles, why don’t you?”
That’s what Linda Highland wants to know. A rock music fan who prefers the Rolling Stones, she simply can’t imagine why anyone would idolize the lads from Liverpool and has turned to the Internet to twist-and-shout out her scorn. From decrying Fab Four commercialism in the wake of John Lennon’s death as “necroBeatlemania” to beatifying his widow as “St. Yoko” (for allegedly breaking up the band), Highland has constructed a Web site that features a litany of anti-Beatles literature along with links to similar sites.
