A Muslim couple must paint their home a different color to comply with the rules of their local homeowners association, a New York judge has ruled. Finding that the record did not support Abed and Naheed Mansoor's claim that the association's lawsuit was racially motivated, Supreme Court Justice William R. LaMarca of Nassau County issued an "extraordinary and drastic remedy" -- a mandatory injunction ordering the Mansoors to comply with a covenant they had signed in 2004 promising to repaint their home.
