WASHINGTON — McKee Nelson has expanded its corporate/finance and tax practices with the addition of four new partners in its New York and Washington offices. Noted municipal financial products lawyer Joyce J. Gorman moves from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft to McKee Nelson’s Washington office, where her practice will focus on representing banks and investment banks in the structuring and development of new programs and financial products in both the primary and secondary markets, with emphasis on state and local government debt. Gorman’s more than 30 years of experience also includes tender option bond programs, tax-exempt gas prepay transactions, municipal derivative products, liquidity facilities and various forms of credit enhancement. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law. McKee Nelson, a 200-lawyer firm that maintains nationally recognized practices in three focused areas — tax, corporate/finance and business litigation/enforcement — elevated to partnership three other attorneys: • Tom Glushko, also in the municipal financial products group, represents financial institutions with an emphasis on the repackaging of municipal securities and the development of municipal derivatives and other synthetic structures, including tender option bonds and total return swaps. • Rich Davis is a transactional finance and structuring lawyer, representing clients in complex financings, recapitalizations and restructurings, as well as mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and venture capital financings. • Natan Levya is an international tax lawyer and advises clients in various industries on all aspects of international tax planning, including foreign tax credits, foreign currency transactions and the dual consolidated loss rules.
