Speaking on Tuesday at Georgia State University's College of Law for its 25th anniversary, retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor offered her two cents on judicial pay. "I think that judges need to be compensated at a level that enables them to serve without major personal sacrifice," she said. O'Connor noted that young law firm associates fresh out of federal judicial clerkships can make more than the judges whom they serve. "I hope we can do better," she said.
