WASHINGTON — An eight-lawyer group from the government contracts and litigation practice of Epstein Becker & Green — led by partners Kenneth B. Weckstein and Daniel B. Abrahams — has moved to the Washington office of Boston’s Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels. The eight-lawyer group joins Brown Rudnick’s government practice team which assists clients in resolving complex disputes in both public contract and commercial settings. Representative experience spans a wide range of matters including bid protests, contract claims, wage and hour disputes, compliance investigations, trade secret disputes, complex commercial litigation, government contract due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions, and counseling to avoid litigation. “We welcome Ken, Dan and their team to our Washington, D.C., office,” said Brown Rudnick CEO Joseph F. Ryan. “They are a skilled, aggressive group of litigators who represent an impressive portfolio of Fortune 500 companies. The addition of this practice group is in keeping with our strategic growth plan for the DC market, and we expect to continue to attract top legal talent in that region.” Brown Rudnick opened its Washington office in spring 2004 with the additions of longtime Capitol Hill advocates, Michael Lewan and Doyce A. Boesch. Since last year, the office has nearly tripled in size with professionals practicing across government relations, regulatory and commercial litigation, and corporate law.
