BANNER & WITCOFF Banner & Witcoff, an intellectual property boutique, announced its promotion of seven new partners and senior partners. The firm also announced three new associates. Brian Brisnehan, 32, is an associate in the firm’s patent prosecution and litigation practice. He was previously a law clerk at Banner & Witcoff. Brisnehan earned his J.D. at George Mason University School of Law. Steve Chang, 36, is a senior partner in the electronics and computer technology practice. He was previously a partner. Chang earned his J.D. at Temple University Beasley School of Law. Ross Dannenberg, 35, is a senior partner in the firm’s computer software and video game practice. He was previously a partner. Dannenberg earned his J.D. at the George Washington University Law School. David Gerk, 30, is a partner in the firm’s mechanical and design patent practice. He was previously an associate. Gerk earned his J.D. at the George Washington University Law School. Matthew Kohner, 30, is an associate in the firm’s patent prosecution and litigation practice. He was previously a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Kohner earned his J.D. at the George Washington University Law School. Rick Lin, 26, is an associate in the firm’s patent prosecution and litigation practice. He was previously a summer associate with the firm. Lin earned his J.D. at the George Washington University Law School. Darrell Mottley, 43, is a senior partner in the firm’s mechanical, electronic, and computer practice. He was previously a partner. Mottley earned his J.D. at the George Washington University Law School. H. Wayne Porter, 46, is a senior partner in the firm’s patent preparation and prosecution practice. He was previously a partner. Porter earned his J.D. at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Paul Rivard, 37, is a senior partner in the firm’s patent preparation and prosecution practice. He was previously a partner. Rivard earned his J.D. at Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. Christopher Roth, 36, is a senior partner in the firm’s litigation practice. He was previously a partner. Roth earned his J.D. at the University of Minnesota Law School.
BROWNSTEIN HYATT FARBER SCHRECK Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announced the addition of two attorneys to the firm. William Moschella, 39, has joined as of counsel in the firm’s government relations practice. He previously served as the principal associate deputy attorney general in the Justice Department. Moschella earned his J.D. at George Mason University School of Law. R. James Nicholson, 70, has joined as senior counsel in the public policy practice. Nicholson previously served as secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Nicholson earned a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
HELLER EHRMAN Heller Ehrman promoted two attorneys to partner in the firm’s Washington office. John Jurata Jr., 37, is in the intellectual property ligation practice. He was previously an associate. Jurata received his J.D from the University of San Diego School of Law. Natasha Leskovsek, 40, belongs to the Food and Drug Administration regulatory compliance practice. She was previously special counsel. Leskovsek earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
KILPATRICK STOCKTON Christopher Murphy, 46, is a partner in the intellectual property and patent litigation practice. He was a partner at Arent Fox before joining Kilpatrick Stockton’s Washington office. Murphy earned his J.D. at Indiana University School of Law.
KIRKPATRICK & LOCKHART PRESTON GATES ELLIS Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis promoted two associates to partner in the firm’s Washington office. Anthony Green, 33, focuses on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. Green earned a J.D. from the Cornell Law School. Marc Mehrespand, 34, practices in the areas of investment management and securities law. Mehrespand earned a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School.
STRADLEY RONON STEVENS & YOUNG Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young promoted two associates to partner. Claire DeMatteis, 43, is partner in charge in the government and public affairs practice. She works in the firm’s Washington and Wilmington, Del., offices. She received her J.D. at Widener University School of Law. Prufesh Modhera, 44, works as a partner in the firm’s investment management and mutual funds practice group in the Washington office. He earned his J.D. at American University’s Washington College of Law.
THOMPSON COBURN Thompson Coburn announced the addition of two attorneys to the firm. Daniel Duff, 64, has joined as of counsel in the transportation practice. He was previously chief counsel and vice president of government affairs at the American Public Transportation Association. Duff earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Raymond Stewart, 54, has joined the firm as a partner in the corporate and securities practice. He was previously managing partner at Greenebaum Doll & McDonald. Stewart earned his J.D. from University of Kentucky College of Law.
WINE AND SPIRITS WHOLESALERS OF AMERICA Karin Moore, 40, joined the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America as assistant general counsel.
