CARTER LEDYARD & MILBURN Two attorneys from Swidler Berlin have joined Carter Ledyard & Milburn’s Washington office. Lynn Gallagher, 51, joined as counsel in the environmental practice. She was previously counsel at Swidler Berlin. Gallagher earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Leonard Miller, 65, joined as a partner in the litigation practice. He was previously a partner at Bingham McCutchen. Miller earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
JONES DAY Four associates have been promoted to partner in Jones Day’s Washington office. Geoffrey Irwin, 37, is a partner in the firm’s civil litigation practice. He earned his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law. Garfield Simms, 44, is a partner in the intellectual property practice. He earned his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. David Torborg, 35, is a partner in the firm’s commercial litigation practice. He earned his J.D. from Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law. Christian Vergonis, 37, is a partner in the firm’s administrative law and civil litigation practice. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Trent Doyle, 41, has been promoted to partner in the firm’s environmental practice. He was previously an associate. He earned his J.D. at the College of William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law. Colleen Evale, 36, has been promoted to counsel in the firm’s food and drug practice. She was previously an associate. She earned her J.D. at the Villanova University School of Law. Komal Jain, 37, has been promoted to counsel in the firm’s environmental practice. She was previously an attorney-adviser in the Office of the Chief Counsel at the Federal Aviation Administration. She earned her J.D. at the University of Richmond T.C. Williams School of Law. Jeffrey Keithline, 42, has been promoted to partner in the firm’s food and drug practice. He was previously an associate. He earned his J.D. at the Washington and Lee University School of Law. Thomas Magee, 48, has been promoted to partner in the firm’s telecommunications practice. He was previously an associate. He earned his J.D. at the University of Colorado Law School. Jean-Cyril Walker, 45, has been promoted to partner in the firm’s environmental practice. He was previously an associate. He earned his J.D. at the University of Maryland School of Law.
