Miami — Akerman Senterfitt, one of Florida’s largest law firms, has promoted 31 attorneys throughout the country to shareholder. The newest shareholders are in the Los Angeles, New York and Washington offices, as well as in the following Florida offices: Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tampa and Tallahassee. They are in the litigation, corporate, labor and employment and real estate practice groups. The firm, with 500 lawyers, was recently ranked 85th in The National Law Journal’s NLJ 250. In the Fort Lauderdale office, William S. Spencer and Richard E. Landman were named shareholders in the litigation practice group. In the Jacksonville office, Edward M. Whelan was elected to shareholder in the litigation practice group. In the Miami office, Gary C. Matzner, Marci K. Poliakoff, Geoffrey Cheney and Michael T. Francis were elected shareholders in the corporate practice group; Jeffrey T. Cook, and Scott W. Rostock in the litigation practice group; and Jennifer T. Williams in the labor and employment practice group. In the Orlando office, Gary A. Whitlock was elected to shareholder in the real estate practice group; William P. Gray in the litigation practice group; and Nathan N. Balint in the corporate practice group. In the Tampa office, Leslee J. Wallach and August M. Van Eepoel were named shareholders in the corporate practice group; and Karen M. Buesing in labor and employment. In the Tallahassee office Lila A. Jaber was named shareholder in the policy group. In the Los Angeles office, Gregory R. McClintock was elected to shareholder in the real estate practice group. In the New York office Howard J. Finkelstein was elected to shareholder in the corporate practice group; Donald N. David in litigation; and in the real estate practice group: Harvey Feldschreiber, Richard N. Bowers, Kenneth Gordon, Steven P. Polivy, Jerry D. Reichelscheimer, Brittiny L. Sessions, Michael Scott Simon, Steven M. Sinacori, David I. Stadtmauer and Howard A. Zipser. In the Washington office, Robert M. Andersen was elected to shareholder in the real estate practice group.
