Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis has added as a partner Beth L. Golden, who served as deputy attorney general for former New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer. Golden will become a senior member of the firm’s white-collar crime and internal investigations group in New York. She handled several cases and initiatives pertaining to Wall Street abuses and practices while in Spitzer’s office. Golden also was a federal prosecutor in the U.S. attorney’s office in Minnesota as well as an associate independent counsel during the Whitewater investigation.
