SAN FRANCISCO � Morrison & Foerster, with 1,000 lawyers worldwide, elevated 24 associates and of-counsel lawyers to partner for 2008. “While high-profile lateral partners tend to generate the most attention, we’re especially proud of those attorneys who have come up through the ranks here at Morrison & Foerster,” said Keith Wetmore, firm chairman. One-third of the newly minted partners are women. The group is spread among 10 of the firm’s 18 offices on the Pacific Rim, the U.S. and Europe. The new partners represent critical practice areas of intellectual property, litigation, real estate, technology, financial services, land use, privacy and taxes. They join offices in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., San Diego, Palo Alto, Walnut Creek, Calif., Northern Virginia, Tokyo and Shanghai.
