Dodd has joined family law firm Allison & Johnson in Plano as an associate. She previously was an assistant district attorney for Dallas County. . . . Winstead has an-nounced the following promotions. Justin Presnal, a member of the firm’s appellate practice group in Houston, has become an income shareholder. In Dallas new equity shareholders are: Brad Broberg, real estate structured finance practice group; Dale Butler, construction practice group; and Greg Zimmerman, real estate development and investments practice group. Ed Laborde, corporate and securities practice group, is a new equity shareholder in Houston. His practice focuses on administrative, regulatory and litigation defense of licensed health-care professionals and health-care entities. . . . Julie R. Caggiano and Lynn E. Lovat have joined Sterling Bancshares Inc. and Sterling Bank as senior vice presidents and associate general counsel. Caggiano focus on corporate and securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, human resources and bank regulatory matters. Lovat will focus on personal relationship banking, contract review, litigation management and various bank operations. ELECTIONS . . . Donald H. Kidd, an associate with Jim S. Adler & Associates in Houston, has been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates, as a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and president-elect of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association. . . . Watten, a partner in Strasburger & Price in Frisco, has been elected chairman-elect of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.
