Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins announced Friday that the firm is promoting seven to partner, including six in its San Diego office, effective Jan. 1. Leslie Hurst, a consumer and insurance fraud litigator, received her J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in 1995. Stephanie Schroder, 32, who handles securities fraud class actions and advises institutional investors on issues related to corporate securities fraud, received her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2000. Benny Goodman III, 35, who handles securities fraud class actions and shareholder derivative litigation, received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2000. Rachel Jensen, 32, a class action securities and consumer fraud litigator, received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2000. Trig Smith, 44, who handles securities and other complex litigation, received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2000. And Ramzi Abadou, 35, who handles securities fraud class actions and Coughlin Stoia’s lead plaintiff practice, received his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2002. This year’s class of new partners reflects a slight bump from last year, when Coughlin Stoia promoted five new partners firmwide, including four in California. The last remaining partner in this year’s class works in the Boca Raton, Fla., office.
