Reed Smith announced Monday the promotion of 31 new partners, and seven are in California. Of the seven, four work in the Los Angeles office and three are in San Francisco. Thirteen of the new partners are in the firm’s business and regulatory department, and 18 are in its litigation department. The three S.F. partners are: Heather Brae Hoesterey, 34, a financial services litigator who received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1998; Tyree Jones Jr., 47, a labor and employment litigator who also works in Washington, D.C., and graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1986; and Jonah Mitchell, 34, an IP litigator who graduated from Boalt Hall School of Law in 1999. The four L.A. partners are: Justice Margaret Grignon (Ret.), 57, a member of the firm’s appellate group who graduated from Loyola Law School in 1977; Brett McClure, 35, a commercial litigator who graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2000; Mildred Segura, 32, a products liability litigator who received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2000; and Stephen Sessa, 39, an entertainment lawyer who received his J.D. from Whittier College School of Law in 1993.
