BLANK ROME Gregory Linsin has joined Blank Rome as a partner in the white-collar internal and government investigations group. Prior to joining the firm, Linsin, 58, served as special litigation counsel for the Environmental Crimes Section of the Justice Department. He earned his J.D. at Antioch University School of Law.
FISH & RICHARDSON Andrew Warnecke has joined Fish & Richardson as of counsel in the firm’s Washington litigation group. Warnecke, 38, was previously a senior associate at Winston & Strawn in Chicago. He earned his J.D. from George Washington University Law School.
PAUL, HASTINGS, JANOFSKY & WALKER Laura Flippin, 36, has been elected partner in Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker’s D.C. office. She is currently of counsel in the firm’s litigation department. Flippin received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
ROPES & GRAY Erik Corwin has joined Ropes & Gray’s D.C. office as a partner in the tax and benefits department. He was most recently a partner at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr. Corwin, 44, received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
SULLIVAN & WORCESTER Two attorneys have joined Sullivan & Worcester to start the firm’s new Washington telecommunications practice. Kathy Cooper, 43, is counsel in the telecommunications group. She was previously a partner at Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman. Cooper earned her J.D. at Catholic University, Columbus School of Law. L. Elise Dietrich is a partner, and will lead the telecommunications group. She was previously of counsel at Duncan, Weinberg, Genzer & Pembroke. Dietrich, 45, received her J.D. from Harvard Law School.
SUTHERLAND ASBILL & BRENNAN Eleven first-year associates have joined Sutherland Asbill & Brennan’s Washington office. Brendan Ballard, 27, is an associate in the litigation practice. She was previously a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Ballard received her J.D. from Washington University School of Law. Benjamin Buckwalter is an associate in the financial services practice. He was previously a summer associate at the firm. Buckwalter, 27, earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Richard Grant, 28, is an associate in the corporate practice. He was previously a summer associate at the firm. Grant earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School. Matthew Hazlett is an associate in the corporate practice. He was previously a summer associate at the firm. Hazlett, 28, received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Meagan Keiser is an associate in the energy and environmental practice. She was previously a summer associate at the firm. Keiser, 27, received her J.D. from Washington University School of Law. Benjamin Norris, 25, is an associate in the energy and environmental practice. He was previously a summer associate at the firm. Norris earned his J.D. at Washington University School of Law. Leni Perkins, 25, is an associate in the tax practice. She was previously a summer associate at the firm. Perkins received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law. Ludovic Slim is an associate in the energy and environmental practice. He was previously a summer associate at the firm. Slim, 31, received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Jasper Smith, 26, is an associate in the tax practice. He was previously a summer associate at the firm. Smith earned his J.D. from Howard University School of Law. Maeve Ulrick is an associate in the corporate practice. She was previously a summer associate at the firm. Ulrick, 28, earned her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School. Peter Whelan is an associate in the litigation practice. He was previously a summer associate at the firm. Whelan, 35, earned his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law.
WILKINSON BARKER KNAUER Luisa Lancetti, 53, has joined the Washington firm of Wilkinson Barker Knauer as of counsel. She will focus on telecommunications. She was most recently vice president for wireless at Sprint Nextel Corp. and Sprint Corp. Lancetti earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. — Marisa McQuilken
