The death penalty case of Troy Anthony Davis came before the Supreme Court of Georgia on Tuesday, with his lawyers claiming he is the victim of mistaken identity and a Savannah prosecutor claiming that the state is a victim of an unfair public opinion campaign.
Davis deserves a new trial because he was not responsible for the 1989 murder of Savannah policeman Mark Allen McPhail, one of his lawyers told the court.
