DETROIT — The nation’s biggest law school just got bigger. The Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich., which has more than 3,600 students, in January will open the doors to its new $36 million campus in Auburn Hills, MI. The 65,300-square-foot structure, still under renovation and previously owned by DaimlerChrysler, will be home to more than 600 law school students who currently attend classes at Oakland University. Cooley started offering classes at Oakland University in 2002. The new Auburn Hills campus will also include a 62,000-square-foot addition, which is currently being built and is scheduled to open January 2009. The 35-year-old law school now has three campuses, including ones in Lansing and Grand Rapids, Mich. Enrollment at the new campus is projected to be about 650 students in 2008, and 750 students by January 2009.
