Brooklyn Law School’s Center for the Study of International Business Law has been named after Dennis J. Block, a corporate attorney and a supporter of the law school. Block is a partner in the corporate/mergers and acquisitions department in New York’s Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. During his career, he has advised a number of clients on a variety of complex issues, including Procter & Gamble’s acquisition of The Gillette Co., Quaker Oats’ acquisition of PepsiCo and Pfizer Inc.’s acquisition of Warner-Lambert. Block is a 1967 graduate of Brooklyn Law School and teaches advanced corporate law there as an adjunct professor. The Dennis J. Block Center for the Study of International Business Law provides fellowships and an enriched educational experience to students, as well as events that draw leading practicioners, government officials and legal scholars from around the world. The center celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
