New Addition Joshua L. Kirsch has joined Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin’sprofessional liability department. Kirsch will be working in the firm’s Philadelphia office.   New associate Obinna Abarahas joined the Philadelphia-based law firm of Zarwin Baum DeVito Kaplan Schaer Toddyas an associate in the firm’s insurance defense practice group. Abara will work out of the firm’s Center City office. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a judicial extern for Craig M. Washington in Philadelphia’s Municipal Court. Elected and Appointed Andrea R. Kramer, a private-practice labor and employment lawyer, has been appointed chairwoman of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. Kramer, whose practice is located in Bala Cynwyd, has served the Girl Scouts in a variety of capacities since 1988.   Lee Zoeller, a partner at Reed Smith, has been appointed to serve as 2008 chairman of the Income Tax Program of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation(IPT). The program organizes an annual Income Tax Symposiumon timely tax topics. Zoeller serves as second vice president of IPT, whose 4,700 members are state and local income, property, and sales and use tax professionals.   William Z. Scott Jr. of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Gogginhas been elected president of the Pennsylvania Bar Institutefor a one-year term, which began June 19. PBI is the continuing legal educational arm of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoadsassociate Amelia Carollahas been elected to serve as chairwoman of the board of trustees of Southern New Jersey Regional Early Intervention Collaborative, a nonprofit organization that helps ensure a local voice in the implementation of the early intervention system for children with special needs who are 3 years of age or younger. Carolla previously served as vice chairwoman for the organization. Carolla is a resident of the firm’s Cherry Hill office and concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation and education related matters. She is co-chairwoman of the firm’s special education law practice. Authored Michael A. Morse , a shareholder, and Alexandra C. Gaugler, a senior associate at Miller Alfano & Raspanti, co-authored an article titled ” DaubertChallenges to Experts in Federal Cases: An Overlooked Defense.” The article appears in the July 2007 issue of The Champion. Morse is a former Philadelphia prosecutor who focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense, health care law and SEC enforcement action defense. Gaugler concentrates her litigation practice on white collar criminal defense, federal and state qui tam litigation and complex commercial disputes. �
